Overall: 5/5
Pre Smoke Evaluation: The nugs are weighty and have a nice complex of light and dark leaves on them. Covered in trichromes the orange pistils reveal that these nuggets were harvested at just the right time. The smell of limes and sharp bitterness explodes out of the nuggets as they hit the grinder.
Post Smoke Evaluation:
RooR: The smoke out of the RooR hits hard and tastes sharp. The sour Diesel roots of the headband make themselves known. A harsh hit with citrus and fuel after taste. The high does not take very long at all to kick in, 5 minutes later immediately starts to feel like a sativa 10 minutes later the body high catches up.
Volcano: The vapor not nearly as harsh as the RooR still tastes sharp and sour making the taste buds feel alive. 15 minutes later I am high and couch locked the high is very clear yet a decent body high as well.
Conclusion: The headband is a powerful hybrid strain mixing Kush and sour diesel lineages together to form a very nice sativa dominant cross. The high is relaxing but not disorienting, Perfect if you just wanna kick back or go do some shit. The taste is powerful but don’t expect to love it if your not a fan of the Sour D or limes. Despite that small hitch this is a great medical strain and I can see great potential for depression patients. Be aware however as with most Sativas you do have a chance of experiencing that soaring head high which might freak you out at first so go slow and increase dosage as necessary. I rate this strain 5 nose up out of 5. 5/5
